How do I place an order?"
To place an order, simply add all desired items to your shopping cart. To place any of the items in a shopping cart, simply click on its price on its individual product page under "add to cart." You may change quantities by entering a desired number and hitting the 'recalculate' button. To remove an item, simply set its quantity to zero. Once complete, please hit the 'checkout' button.
"Is it safe shopping online?"
We keep all your information private and secure. All orders are placed through our secure server at the highest encryption rates available. And we will not release an iota of this information to any third party. Ever. We want your experiences at ZhiTea.com to be safe and secure and we are fully committed to this goal. Therefore, we use Verisign's 128 bit, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology enhanced with Server Gated Cryptography (SGC), the most robust encryption technology commercially available in the world, to encrypt your credit card number and other personal information as it travels over the internet from your computer to our secure server. SSL is a standard technology used by millions of other commercial e-commerce websites. You can always tell when a web page uses SSL since the “http” in your browser’s address box changes to “https” (the s stands for secure). Most browsers will also display a closed lock at the bottom of the page.
Using your credit card to place an online order with ZhiTea.com is far safer than using your credit card in a store or over the phone. This is true for several reasons both technical and practical, but most notably because your credit card number is never seen by anyone at ZhiTea.com instead of many people, as is potentially the case in a busy store or phone-sales line.
"What are your payment options?"
We happily accept all major credit and debit cards, as long as it has a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express symbol on it.
"Is there any sales tax?"
There is no sales tax on tea. Teaware items are subject to 8.25% sales tax for the residents of Texas only, as we ship from Austin, Texas.
"What are your shipping rates?"
We offer a Flat Rate of $6.95 to US via USPS or Fedex Ground/Home Delivery per shipment. Domestic orders over $49.00 receive FREE shipping. Shipments to PO Box, APO/FPO, AK/HA may encounter a $3.00 surcharge.
"Do you ship to international?"
Currently, no. Our apologies.
"How do I send a gift to another address?"
Easily! Our shopping cart is set up to allow you to send as many products to as many different people as you want - in one order! While it may seem a bit intimidating at first, once you get used to it, it is a breeze.
Recipients you enter will stay in your account as long as you want - and you may delete them at any time by going to "my account".
"I need to ship these to two different addresses. Can I combine them into one order?"
As of now, our site doesn't allow for that. Our apologies.
"Can I ship to Alaska/Hawaii?"
You sure can. However, for some addresses there will be a $3.00 surcharge, due to elevated shipping costs. You will see the charge before you completely check out if it is applicable.
"Can I ship to an APO/FPO?"
Yes! All shipments to APO/FPO will be sent via USPS Priority and incur a $3.00 surcharge.
"How do I use a gift card?"
Good question. If you have an existing Zhi Tea Gift Card, please call us at 512-220-3839 to discuss ordering options.
"I don't like ordering online. Can I order by phone or pay by check/money order?"
Ordering online at ZHI is totally safe, as we use state-of-the-art encryption and charge handling methods. Your credit card number, for example, is never seen by anyone. However, if you feel more comfortable ordering via telephone, one of our knowledgeable and friendly staff is more than happy to help you. Currently we do not accept checks or money orders for purchases at ZHI.
