Phoenix Mountain Dancong Oolong
Phoenix Mtn. Dancong Oolong is famous for its floral fragrance and long sweet finish and thick mouth feel.
Phoenix Dancong Oolong Huang Zhi Xiang is named for its distinctive aroma that is similar to the fragrant flower, Huang Zhi Hua, or “Orange Blossom".
The Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Dancong is made from clones of an old Feng Huang Dancong tree that is more than 600 years old. It has an unique and rare intensity. Due to the limited amount of 30- to 50-year-old trees that were propagated from that old Dancong tree, the production of the tea is limited.
Put 5g or 2 tsp Phoenix Dancong Oolong into a 100ml ceramic gaiwan;
Pour 200 degree water into gaiwan. Brew for 20 seconds for the first brewing, longer time for the following brewing; Phoenix Dancong Oolong stands up to more than ten brewings.
One Tsp per 12oz cup, or two Tsp per 24 oz pot.
195-205 degree water
Steep for 2-3 minutes or to taste. Can be steeped multiple times
Flavor / taste note: An intense, long lasting, exotic and flowery aroma with lingering tropical fruit notes. The flavor has bittersweet and fruity complements with a semi-dry start and mouth-watering finish.
