This "Green Snail Spring" tea is harvested in late March and early April. Young leaf buds are hand rolled into these little spiral pearls resembling little snails.
This particular Bi Luo Chun was grown in Simao, Pu'er County in Yunnan province.
These little green gems make a thick soup with a heavenly aroma and a lightly sweet flavor with subtle floral notes.
The caffeine level in this tea is substantial for a green tea, making it a lovely pick-me-up, and it's full of nutrients, too, even vitamin C!
3 grams/ one TBSP per 12 ounce cup
Recommended steep time: 2-3 minutes at 180°F
