Yokode no kyusu (横手の急須) literally means "side hand tea pot". 

This Kyusu teapot is made with borosilicate glass which has a strong resistance to thermal shock compared to ordinary glass. The removable infuser is perfect for tea infusions and prevents the tea leaf from falling into your steep. This round shape glass teapot is pure and minimalist. We love the wooden side handle and accented wooden lid knob. 

This is widely used in Japan for preparing Sencha green tea. The shape was made to be efficient when pouring tea in small amounts quickly distributing among several cups (the tea at the end of pouring tends to be stronger than at the beginning).
