ICED TEA

About this Collection

Zhi tea is located in Austin, Texas. Iced Tea is practically a necessity in this climate.

There are a lot of ways to make iced tea. Most often people will make hot tea and pour it over ice. Since the melting ice can dilute it, adding a little extra leaf makes sure you get a flavorful result. Using this method opens up the possibility of turning absolutely any tea into an iced tea. Heck, we even make tea popsicles!

Some teas are more perfect for an iced tea than others, and we have an exciting lineup of flavors to choose from.  We prefer to cold-brew our iced teas. It takes longer but produces a delicious glass and minimizes bitterness and caffeine.

Our loose-leaf iced teas are sold in single pound bags, but they offer more versatility for brewing methods. For the best results with the least effort, we recommend our Iced Tea Kits.

Every kit contains eight sealed half-ounce cotton filter pouches, each brewing up to 64 ounces of tea. For cold brewing, place a pouch in a pitcher, fill with room temperature water, and refrigerate for 10 to 12 hours (longer for stronger flavor). Add a second pouch if you want extra strength or a full gallon. Cold brewing minimizes caffeine extraction in caffeinated teas, while hot brewing releases more. The choice is yours.

Prefer to brew your own way? We also offer loose leaf iced teas in one pound pouches, giving you the flexibility to experiment with strength and steeping methods. Browse our teaware collection for pitchers and brewing tools, or explore the full spectrum of our hot tea collections: Black Tea, Green Tea, Herbal Tea, and Rooibos Tea.
