Rooibos Provence: Zhi’s new tea!

Hello, tea lovers!

Can you feel it?

That sense that something new and amazing is going to come into your life?

A certain whisper of intuition to let your spirit know that a new found joy is on the horizon?

If so, are you ready??

Say ‘yes!’ to our new organic signature: Rooibos Provence.

Smooth, sensual rooibos takes a fruity turn in this caffeine free herbal blend. Juicy black currants give this tea a burst of berry. Elderberries bring their signature taste to the table too, so if you love them in jellies, jams and pies, you’ll love them here as well.  Rose petals and lavender offer amazing floral aromatics but don’t spend too much time on the tongue.  Mmmm. Breathe deep!

We love all our teas here at Zhi, that is a fact; but it has been awhile since a rooibos blend of this calibur has graced our tea room. While rooibos has a tendency to be nutty and savory, in this blend, we experience this tea as sweeter and more fruity than usual. Sound like your cup of tea?

Our superstar rooibos has been Sweet Desert Delight up until this point, and we wonder: will Rooibos Provence take center stage? Only time will tell. Try some today and let us know!

Winter is a wonderful time to cozy up to a cup of your favorite tea. Aromatic and nurturing, tea warms the soul from the inside out. Is it a coincidence that the holidays occur during such a chilly season?

Tea is the perfect gift. For yourself for precious moments of solitude, and for them as you show your care from afar. Having guests? Tea is the perfect gesture of hospitality and kids young and old can enjoy a special teatime.

Whether your loved one is a tea lover, new to tea, or (gasp!) isn’t a tea drinker yet, Zhi Tea has over 100 organic teas for you to give. There truly is a tea for everyone and this holiday, you could be the one who introduces them to their new favorite.

What Zhi Tea do you love to give?

Savor Summer with Zhi’s new Wilde Strawberry Green Rooibos

Wilde Strawberry Zhi TeaWhile we love our traditional hot tea, living in Austin has provided us with a keen appreciation for a satisfying cup of iced tea.

Our favorite iced tea blends are refreshing, decadent, and healthy as well.

This month, we’re happy to introduce our newest hand blended signature: Wilde Strawberry Green Rooibos.

Healthy, tasty, vibrant, this soothing blend came from our desire to provide some new and super healthy herbs to our line, along with the lusciousness of strawberry and raw, green rooibos.

The result? A uniquely savory, slightly sweet, mild and soothing cup that can be drunk any time of day or night.

Real strawberries, bilberry leaf, strawberry leaf, and copious amounts of green rooibos. This tea is a super antioxidant treat with zero caffeine!

As always, your cuppa Zhi Tea can be enjoyed ice & hot! Have you tried this blend? We’d love to read your review!

Monday Mashup: High Kick

high kick teaFor a spark of energy at the start of February, we whipped up a pot of our newly invented brew that we’re calling High Kick. This mix of  Zhi Tea’s yerba mate and ginger and lime green rooibos offers grassy notes and intensity from the yerba that complement the bold, bright and citrusy rooibos, resulting in a refreshing beverage.

Although we tried our concoction piping hot, we think it’d be just as delicious iced for the summer months. Try it straight or add a dash of agave nectar for a sweeter treat. Either way, we’re confident this Monday Mashup will entice your senses and delight your tastebuds.

Monday Mashup: Red Desert Delight

Another Monday brings together some of Zhi Tea’s signature blends to create a unique new mix. This time, we’ve toned down the sweeter notes of Sweet Desert Delight with a straight Red Rooibos, to make what we’d describe as a more subdued sensation of the coconut, cacao, anise, cinnamon, safflowers and stevia flavors of the original herbal tea.

We combined the two teas at about a 1:1 ratio, and enjoyed the resulting beverage piping hot. For those who prefer a more traditional taste, with less of that sugary enhancement, Red Desert Delight is a great way to enjoy the enticing flavors of this complex rooibos.

Since both of these teas are of the rooibos variety, you can steep them in the same infuser, saving a bit of effort and leaving you with just one pot to clean. With some of our other Monday Mashups, in which we mix together a rooibos and a black tea, for instance, we brew each one separately and combine them just before serving so they can both steep for the necessary amount of time.
